Mistev Export Health Certification Ltd.

Mistev EHC is a Scotland-based company, which also provides veterinary services nationwide, dedicated to Export Health Certification of Products of Animal Origin, Import Controls, Pet Health Certification, and Official Controls in meat plants. We are the company of choice in Scotland, striving to provide the best service to customers of all sizes.

Mistev EHC has engaged with public bodies and private companies, for deployment of their personnel in the various aspects and stages of the 'farm to fork' chain, contributing to a richer and more variable working environment for our employees and regular locums, improving staff retention and resilience.

Why should you apply?

Because here you can:

  • Develop within the company and work in different areas of the farm-to-fork chain (Export Health Certification, Delivery of Official Controls, Import checks in Border Control Posts, Animal Health, marketing, and commercial side). Here you can inspire, engage, innovate, and make a difference and you are valued for your inspiration, engagement, and commitment.
  • Experience a fantastic work environment. Our staff can always rely on support and guidance from management. Nevertheless, as always there is place for improvement, we encourage our people to come back to us whenever they think we could do better. So, here you can speak up, raise your concerns and get open and honest answers. At Mistev we are growing together.
  • Have a healthy work-life balance. Our people are the greatest asset, that’s why Mistev offers highly competitive benefits with perks you can get only here.
  • Work 35-40 hours per week. Occasionally, some of these hours could be home based, when you need to provide follow up in different work-related situations. The team meetings (every two weeks) or training sessions every time when is required, are also considered working hours, and compensated accordingly.
  • Get Paid for both theoretical and practical training, depending on the candidate experience.
  • Get annual salary reviews, bonuses on outstanding performance. These are included in the written agreement. Our salary increases, and other financial incentives are facts, not only promises, not only temporary and we never take them back.
  • Get your RCVS fees paid by the Company, if appllicable.
  • Get a comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Get CPD Paid (training fees and attendance) and access to the Company's online training spaces.
  • Work commuting: although our work may involve a fair amount of traveling, we are trying to minimize as much as possible the commuting for our employees. It can be translated to permanent accommodation for the remote areas or locums’ engagement instead to require our veterinarian’s excessive travel.
  • Professional development, encouraging our employees to obtain additional training in official control (HACCP, Food Hygiene, Risk Assessment).
